Katie Farmin

I am a multi-disciplinary artist based in Albuquerque, NM. My writing reflects my multitudes of practices and interests such as music, circus, dance, and devised theatre.

 

I am always experimenting with form and time, with no two of my plays taking the same shape. While my worlds are often unconventional, my characters are grounded in truth, often based on my real relationships and anxieties surrounding current events and daily life.

 

I strive to put the physical and the textual in tandem in my playwriting, placing impulse from the body onto the page. My work is embodied, collaborative, and about finding joy in playmaking.
